Common Cascade
This recipe is Golden! I loved every part of this beer and will not change a thing when I brew it again. People commented that it didn't really taste like a Steam Beer and I didn't want it too. I think Anchor Steam is pretty good, but I'm not sold on a single hopped beer using Northern Brewer Hops which is all they use for their beer. So instead, I subbed in Cascade for flavor, aroma and dry-hop additions which I think is what set it apart and gave it a very pleasant, floral and citrusy vibe whereas Norther Brewer would have been a bit more woodsy. Either way, this beer was great for a summer day and the keg went down very, very fast. I got crazy high attenuation on last batch (around 82%) which I think really made the beer go down easy while it helped put the Cascade up front and center.
